I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
